Pumpkin Patch

We visited a pumpkin patch today with the Tacoma Learning Center. They provided a short educational talk for the kids as well as a tractor-trailer ride around the farm ending at a special pumpkin patch for the kids. Each kid got to pick their own pumpkin to take home. They also got to visit the goats that were on site. Loren told me that those goats were nice, but she likes her goats better because they're fuzzier. Love it. On the walk back from the pumpkin patch to the main farm, we discovered a duck race setup and learned about pumping water, floating objects, water flow, and sharing and taking turns with other kids.

There was also a kids activity area with piglets, chickens, turkeys, bunnies and baby chicks as well as a selection of coloring sheets and crayons.
